"Call it what it is" Football Jersey

The idea of making a football jersey for the ongoing genocide that's happening right next to us derives from my need to clearly express that I have chosen a side. Yes, doing pro-Palestine graffiti in public spaces and plastering stickers all over the place are all great actions, but I wanted something that I could wear, personally, in my everyday life. Not just another slogan or a stencil on a wall that tomorrow might be gone.

I want the tourist who sees the jersey to immediately realize that the people that live in the place that he has chosen for his vacation are taking action against atrocities. I want the Israeli who bought and evicted our friend Sophia to turn her apartment of 15 years into an Airbnb, to understand that we will resist, personally, in whatever way each of us can, against the colonization they are trying to do in yet another place. That if their views align with the Israeli government's, they are not welcome.
And what a joy it would be if he chose to confront us.

I made a football shirt because football is a universal language in itself. It can be a symbol of unity and camaraderie. The football jersey, by design, is an effective medium. It allows for bold designs and large fonts, perfect for conveying a message. So, instead of airline and betting company ads, I'm appropriating it to state the obvious. And by doing this we'll also raise money for the Palestinian community.
